KCWSC: Emergency Restriction Update
April 18, 2025
Please continue to limit your water usage to essential needs (cooking, bathing, laundry, indoor cleaning) and limit outside water use to hand watering only until further notice. Do not use sprinklers or unattended watering with a hose! Pass this information along to your neighbors who may not have email or have not seen the notice.
One of the booster pumps has been removed for repairs. This places additional strain on the remaining booster pump. You may notice the pressure drop then become normal again. This is the result of only one booster pump operating. At this time we do not know how long the pump will be out for service. Once the system has been restored to normal additional information will be sent out.
The repair to the root problem with the check valves failing is still pending waiting on parts to arrive. Once the check valves have been replaced the system will be back to full capacity and operation. The check valve repair is expected the first part of May.
Continue to report any leaks or loss of water pressure. Quick action on everyone's part is key to ensuring the water system remains in operation. We understand the inconvience this outage causes. Our goal is to keep the system operational supplying water even durring this period of equipment failure. Your full cooperation is appreciated.
Thank you,
The KCWSC Board of Directors
