King Creek WSC has contracted with Core & Main, a Waco distributor, to replace all the meters in our system.  The work has been rescheduled to begin on Aug 5^th and is expected to be completed by Aug 9^th.  During this period, you will see workers in the neighborhood and possibly on your property to access and replace the meter and in some cases the meter box.  Intermittent water service disruptions are to be expected between 8AM – 5PM on these dates.  These disruptions are not expedted to be more than a few minutes at a time, but there is always the risk of unexpected issues that may cause longer periods of outages.

There is no cost to you for the meters and meter boxes because they are owned by King Creek WSC.   

The new Neptune Mach10r900i meters are a major technology leap from the current mechanical meters we are using.  The main advantage of these new meters are they have a 20 year service life and 20 year full warranty instead of the typical 5-8 year life and 2 year warranty of a mechanical meter.  Another significant bonus is these meters will store 96 days of hourly usage allowing for in-depth review and troubleshooting to help answer customer questions concerning usage, identify minor leaks, and backflow conditions.   

You should be aware that the new meters are extremely accurate, much more than the mechanical meters currently in use.  The mechanical meters being replaced are 10 plus years old and well beyond their expected service life.  In all likelyhood these older meters have not accurately recording your water usage.
